We’ve partnered with a socially and environmentally responsible manufacturer in India with a lengthy list of certifications. They are conscious of every decision they make. From the sourcing of materials, the products they create, and the impact on the people and the environment that make them.

They are compliant with international conventions. These include ILO Standards, UN Global Compact, Fair Trade, Social Accountability International, SEDEX SMETA 4, and GOTS, as well as national labor laws and regional social compliance standards.

Cleverly, they’ve created a way of cutting fabric that helps minimize as much waste as possible through a Zero Waste Initiative. Any fabric leftover is either used in future orders, sorted by type and color to be returned for production use, or put into recycling.

As of now, we have one (all-star) product. Our Duobib is currently made out of 100% GOTS-certified organic cotton. This means that the cotton our bibs are made from never touches toxic chemicals from growth to production.

We aim to continue to research and grow our offered products with environmentally-friendly materials and are looking into affordable ways to safely offer products made from recycled materials when possible.

When we think of what we want to offer parents, we think about how long they’ll use them. We WANT you to have to buy and use fewer products to function as a parent, and we do this by creating items that last longer and do more.

Having products with a short use-life is wasteful. Babies grow quickly, outgrowing items within a few months, maybe even weeks! If we’re able to combine items in a way that's convenient for parents for a longer time, it’s a huge win for textile waste (and your pocket)!

Longer usage means we have to make quality products that can stand the test of time. Our high-quality fabric is layered up to create a Duobib that can last through multiple children. There’s no need to re-buy essentials such as bibs and burp rags when you already have a product in great condition.

We envision our parents using the Duobib as a burp cloth, then a bib, and then as a cleaning tool throughout (just use water!). We hope that our parents either keep the bib through multiple children, give it as second-hand items to friends and family, or dispose of it responsibly.

We use organic cotton for our bibs because we know that, eventually, it will most likely end up in a landfill somewhere as all items do. Organic cotton is a biodegradable substance, which means it does less harm to the environment than plastics or other non-biodegradable substances.
